Help debossing or "cutting into"

Debossing is sometimes confused with embossing... but it's just the opposite...


Rajeev from Dubai, UAE, using CS2 Photoshop with MAC OS version 10.3.9, writes in with:

Photoshop 911 Says:
See: Carve an image into the background (Debossing)

... also remember you can simulate it by reversing the lighting to "bottom" using the "emboss" filter.
