Hi, Can you give me some help? I want to make photo borders, and I want to incorporate sponsors logos in the frames . I want to save them as templates, and later, at events , I want to be able to drag photos into the border templates and print. I am not good at photoshop, and what I am looking for is simple, click by click directions.
Thank you for your help.

Check out www.russellbrown.com he has some great video toutorials that show you how to make actions in photoshop to accomplish a wide range of tasks. I think one could be used as a model and you could modify it to fit your needs.

How do I put an oval border around a picture in Phtshp 7.0

PS 911 ANSWERS:

Click the Marquee tool, and pull out the drawer... you'll see the
circle Marquee (or: Option/click or Alt/click)

On a new layer, drag out the Oval you'd like for the INSIDE
of the frame.

Fill with Black (foreground black - Option/Delete, or Alt/Delete)

Command (ctrl) Click the layer to select it.

Now under SELECT > Modify Selection

Choose : EXPAND Selection

Key in the number of Pixels you want for the Thickness of the frame.

Racing ants will appear outside of the original oval.

New Layer

Now Fill with Black, drop the selection

Now Command/Click (ctrl/click) the layer with the original Oval,
to select it -- resulting in racing ants of the INNER Oval.

On the layer with the new "Expanded" oval, simply delete.

this will result in an Oval RING with an open center.

There's your frame. Now do what ever other processes you like
on the frame.
