PS only prints half of the image

I have the same CD of CS2 loaded onto my PC (Win 2000) and my laptop (WinXP Pro SP2) with an Epson Stylus 1290 printer connected via USB directly to the PC. The laptop is on a wireless network with the PC.
When trying to print from the PC (120Mb flattened tiff) onto Epson Super A3 premium photo glossy paper using Photoshop to control colour and not he printer, I get part of the image - top 10cm and bottom 1cm - printed in landscape mode. (In potrait mode, I get the top 2/3rd and the last 1cm printed).
If I copy the same image to my laptop and then print - with the same settings - I can get a full size print (albeit with colour variation!).
I am using the latest Epson drivers and Epson tech support say the problem is with PS while Adobe say the problem is with the Epson drivers!
Have you ever encountered this issue before? Is there a solution other than upgrade PC to XP? (Assuming this is the issue!!) Also, anyidea why the same file, printed at the same settings, using the same ICC profiles gives different colours?
TIA Dave

I am having somewhat the same problem -- only half the image prints vertically on a Super B 13x19 paper! It doesn't matter if I put it on landscape or portrait! It will print full if I use draft quality -- get that!????
