I have an RBG image in which I am trying to change text color.
I use the rectangular marquee tool to select a black text word, then select Enhance --> Adjust Color --> Replace Color.
I use the Eyedropper Tool to select the black text color, then use the Color Picker box to select the red color.
But the selected text turns to a gray color instead of red. Any idea what I'm doing wrong to change text color? Thanks.

I am trying to change colors on cars.
I open a picture of a car
I outline the car with the lasso tool
I goto Layers and select huge/saturation
I name the file
Here is where the problems begin...
When I move the bars to adjust my colors, the new color is
a big blob and does not change the color of the car clearly
it changes the color around it, the wheels, windscreen, everything? HELP

If the type is 'live' type, you cannot edit color that way...
You need to select the type tool, then select the type.
Look in the options bar and you'll see the color ship along with a pull-down.
Click that chip, change the color, and you'll see your type change.
